notify the Governor as soon as the order has been complied

with.

(4) An order made under the last preceding sub-section

may be enforced, at the instance of the Governor, by

mandamus.

(5) If a return required to be made under this section

is not made, the person in default shall be liable, an

summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding five hundred

dollars, and notwithstanding the recovery of any such fine

the making of the return may be enforced, at the instance of

the Governor, by mandamus.

82. Where a loan is raised to meet any expenditure of

the Council which is chargeable to a particular account

there shall be debited to that account all sums required for

repayment of the principal of the loan, or for payment of

interest thereon, or for making payments to any sinking fund

established for the purposes thereaft".

83. The balance of any money borrowed by the Council

and not required for the purposes for which the money was

borrowed may, with the consent of the Governor, and subject

to any conditions which he may impose, be applied to any

other purpose for which capital money may be applied.

84. A person lending money to the Council shall not

be bound to inquire whether the borrowing of the money is

or was legal or regular or whether the money raised was

properly applied, and shall not be prejudiced by any

illegality or irregularity in the matters aforesaid or by

the misapplication or non-application of any such money.

Provisions relating to Stock.

85. (1) For the purposes of any borrowing by the

Council by means of an issue of stock under this Fart of

this Ordinance, stock may be created, issued, transferred,

dealt with, and redeemed in such manner as may be prescribed

by regulations made by the Governor in Council.
